Maths
At FACT, we believe that mathematics is a key life skill that underpins many aspects of everyday life, work, and future learning. A strong foundation in maths equips pupils with the ability to problem-solve, think logically, and make informed decisions, which are essential for success in education, employment and the diverse opportunities of the future. We believe that maths can be both fun and challenging and aim to inspire a love of maths in every pupil. We equip our pupils with key mathematical skills and knowledge, and offer them the opportunity to engage with exciting puzzles and complex problems that stimulate their curiosity and creativity.
Our core vision is that every child is a confident, skilled and resilient mathematician.
Our maths curriculum ensures that all pupils:
- Become fluent in the fundamentals of mathematics
- Develop reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Appreciate how mathematics applies in the real world
Computing
We are preparing pupils for a world shaped by technology.
Digital literacy underpins learning, communication and future employment, and it continues to grow in importance. Through our Computing curriculum, children develop problem-solving skills, logical reasoning and the confidence to apply technology effectively. We ensure pupils understand both how technology works and how it should be used responsibly. Online safety is embedded and revisited to support safe, thoughtful digital behaviour. By the time they leave us, we aim to have built pupils that are capable, adaptable and safe users of technology.

Science
Our aim in Science is simple: to help children understand the world around them.
We build this understanding through curiosity, questioning and careful investigation. Pupils learn to test ideas, evaluate evidence and think critically about what they observe. Science is taught as a practical, engaging subject that connects to real life locally, nationally and globally. We emphasise knowledge, creativity and respect for the environment in equal measure.
